Lampshade Suited Santa

1. Use wire cutters to cut frame from inside of lampshade. Paint lampshade red.

Nature's Stocking & Natural Nut & Pinecone Star

1. Wax knife blade with an old candle for easier, smoother cuts. Following cutting diagram, cut 1/2 of star from each sheet. Join two halves together, using glue and toothpicks.

Peppermint Stripe Candyman

1. Use a serrated knife to cut foam; wax knife blade with an old candle for smooth, easy cutting. From 3" rod, cut two 12" lengths for legs and two 6" lengths for arms. Cut 5-7/8" egg in half lengthwise for feet. See diagram to trim both 4" discs to form hands. Use 2" x 12" x 6" sheet for body, 6" ball for head, and 9" cone for hat. With a scrap piece of foam, sand edges of all foam pieces to smooth.

Playful Snowman Totem

1. Using patterns, cut 12 arms and 12 legs from white knit fabric. Pair and sew pieces, leaving straight edges open. Note: When sewing fabrics throughout, sew right sides together using a 1/4" seam. Clip corners and turn. Lightly stuff each piece with fiberfill. Hand sew gathering stitches 1/4" from raw edges, pulling thread to gather stitches and close opening. Tuck any excess fabric inside gathered hole and knot thread to secure. Trim ends.

1. To Assemble Doll Cutting from selvage to selvage, cut four 1/2" wide strips and four 1/4" wide strips of natural cotton or unbleached muslin.

Santa & Elf Plunger Pals

Wrap muslin square tightly around foam ball for head. Smooth any wrinkles from face area and then secure excess muslin with a sewing needle and doubled thread. Stitch back and forth through gathered fabric several times until secure; knot thread and trim.

Santa and His Elves

1. Wax knife blade with old candle for easier cutting. Slice 1" from top of cone. Slice 1/2" from side of ball. The flat side of the ball will be glued to the side of the cone, 1" from the top. For a close fit, use teaspoon to carve a curved area on flat side of ball; rub ball and cone together until they fit snugly. Glue ball on cone, 1" from top.
