Please tell me how to care for my Boston ferns.

Boston ferns (Nephrolepis exaltata bostoniensis) thrive in average household temperatures, bright light and moist potting soil. Moist air is necessary for lush growth, so mist every few days. If the tips of your fern turn brown, this indicates dry air. You can cut off just the brown part on the tips of the fronds, or you can cut the entire frond back. New fronds develop in the center of the plant. Old fronds eventually lose their leaves and should be cut back to keep the fern looking neat and tidy.

Repotting houseplants

You can tell a plant has outgrown its pot by checking for compacted roots. Turn the plant on its side and gently knock the rim of the pot against a table. If your house doesn't get much light, you may still be able to grow a healthy philodendron. If you see a plant you like in

What can I do for a Venus fly trap besides give it insects to make it grow?

Venus fly traps (Dionaea muscipula) are easy to grow if their conditions are met. They have long root systems, so they should be planted in a tall pot. If your plant still has the plastic covering over the pot, remove it or the plant will be spindly. Give your Venus fly trap full sunshine, a potting soil with peat moss as the main ingredient, humidity above 50% and a temperature of 70F-90F during the day

Vinca is not usually very demanding in terms of fertility, so you might try an all purpose granular fertilizer such as 10-10-10 applied according to the label instructions.
