KENT BOTANICA K 8OZMany aquatic plants take in nutrients not only in their roots, but also through their leaves. This being the case, liquid supplements that contain the nutrients essential to the health and long-term maintenance of these plants can be used. There is a major benefit to using liquid supplements versus solid root additives: you can dose a liquid daily and know exactly how much is in the system and available to plants. This is typically not the case with tablet fertilizers. By adding a liquid supplement daily, you are assured that all of the plants in the system are receiving the necessary ions. The amount of supplement used depends on the stocking density of the |

KENT BOTANICA PHOS PLUS 16OZrue aquatic plants, as well submersed marsh plants, share in common many things, among them the approximate ratio of carbon to nitrogen to phosphorus (C:N:P, or Redfield-Richards Ratio). In conditions of optimal light, temperature, adequate available carbon and micronutrient concentrations, maintaining a N:P ratio of 10 to 20:1 (10 to 20 nitrogen atoms per 1 phosphorus atom) keeps plant growth steady; all other things being equal, greatly reducing this N:P ratio (particularly by having an overabundance of phosphate with all other nutrients present) may encourage algae growth. As a well-maintained planted aquarium ages and the concentration of exuded phenolic compounds increases, the likelihood for clean higher plant growth increases. Maintaining the recommended N:P ratio is simply a way to help |

KENT MARINE - TECH CB PART “A”Each of Tech•CB Part A and Part B is half of a ionically balanced, complete calcium and alkalinity control system for all marine aquariums. When used simultaneously in equal amounts the system will raise both the calcium and buffer level in the aquarium, and is phosphate, nitrate and gluconate free! Containing over 56,000 ppm of cationic calcium, predominately in the form of calcium carbonate, Tech•CB will produce an ionic residual with the composition of natural seawater! Each 16 oz. of Tech•CB will treat 1,900 gallons or 7,200 litres. We are finding improved results (i.e. faster growth rates) with this product, over Kalkwasser use alone, with many animals. We think that the constant addition of carbonate ions along with the calcium ions is working better than just adding buffer weekly, and dripping calcium daily. |

KENT MARINE - TECH CB PART “A”Considerations for use: A pH of 8.0 to 8.3 and an alkalinity of 2.9 to 4.0 meq/L (8 to 11 dKH) is recommended. Calcium level should be maintained between 400 and 450 ppm. Test calcium & alkalinity and adjust the recommended dose for your particular system! Do not exceed 1/2 ml per gallon per 12 hour period. If you use Kalkwasser simultaneously with this product, use half the recommended dose of Kent Tech•CB. If you have trouble maintaining calcium or buffer level, check to see that the salt mix you are using has seawater level of magnesium. To save money and increase dissolvability, some manufacturers of popular newer salts have included only half the level of magnesium necessary in their sea salt mixes, resulting in low calcium solubility and poor buffering! If magnesium is low, use Kent Tech• M Magnesium. |
